Thirteen scholastic chess players took part in the January 2009 Training Tournament at the University of Winnipeg. At the end of the tournament, Aaron Green and Ryne Swift tied for first place. A five minute speed chess game took place between both participants and Aaron Green was victorious. The cross table of the tournament is shown above:

JANUARY 2009 BUGHOUSE TOURNAMENT

As part of the January 2009 Training Tournament, a bughouse tournament was held prior to the tournament. Congratulations to the team of Aaron Green and Dustin Yung for winning the tournament. The team of Sashika Kumaragamage and Colin Stranc came in second, in third place Ryne Swift and Matthew Murphy and in fourth place were the team of Leah Green and Justin Villeneuve.
